Course Policy and Student Agreement
By enrolling in a course with Vitamin Sea Diving you are indicating you agree with the following policies, terms, and conditions. If you have any questions regarding our Course Policies or Student Agreement please contact us at info@vitaminseaph.com
All student divers, for each course taken, are required to read and complete the applicable medical release form. The purpose of this form is to find out if you should consult with your doctor before participating in recreational diver training. A “Yes” response to a question does not necessarily disqualify you from diving. A “Yes” response means that there is a preexisting condition that may affect your safety while diving and you must seek the advice of a physician prior to engaging in scuba diving activities.
You must answer each question on your past or present medical history with a YES or NO. If you are not sure, answer YES. If any of these conditions apply to you, we must request that you consult with a physician prior to participating in scuba diving.
Your physician’s impression regarding your medical fitness for scuba diving must be documented on the Divers Medical Form. If your physician finds no medical conditions considered incompatible with diving, without restrictions or conditions, you must provide the completed form to your instructor at the start of your first course session, and prior to any in-water training. Student Divers who are professional physicians may not sign their own medical form. If your physician is unable to recommend you for diving, you must provide the completed form to us within two days of your course start date and we will refund all course fees, less the non-refundable e-learning course costs.
Should you experience a medical condition or concern during your training which would change your answer(s) on the Divers Medical Form and/or affects your ability to safely scuba dive, then your instructor will be required to suspend your training. In order to resume training, you will need to complete a new Divers Medical Form and obtain physician approval to continue your training. Your comfort, safety and well-being while participating in scuba diving activities is our primary concern.
All certification courses require a 50% deposit at time of enrollment. You may opt to pay for just the deposit or the entire course at enrollment. If you choose to only pay the deposit, the remaining balance is due prior to any in-water activities.
Charges for eLearning courses are non-fundable. Charges for PADI training materials, manuals, and logbooks are non-refundable once issued to a student. In both cases student retains the non-refundable items.
Remaining course tuition is refundable only if you withdraw from your course at least 7 days prior to the start date of the course, or your physician is unable to recommend you for scuba diving as documented on the PADI/RSTC Medical Statement Participant Record form.
Course tuition is non-refundable once your scheduled class has started.
Discover Scuba is not a certification course. Participants will be issued a certificate of completion, however, this is not a scuba certification.
Discover Scuba enrollment requires a non-refundable PHP1.000 deposit. Deposit can be applied to another session date if you need to cancel or reschedule.
For all courses with e-learning components, you must complete all PADI eLearning activities prior to any in-water sessions. If you are not able to complete your e-learning prior to your schedule course session contact us to reschedule your course. Rescheduling policies apply. If your e-learning is not complete prior to your scheduled course session we reserve the right to reschedule or cancel your course.
For any courses that use PADI manuals, complete the reading and knowledge reviews prior to your course. If you do not complete your self study in advance we reserve the right to cancel your class and schedule for you different session.
If you need to reschedule your course you must contact us within 7 days of course start date to discuss rescheduling options. Courses can not be rescheduled within 7 days of course start date. If you have an extenuating circumstance that requires rescheduling contact us to discuss your options.
We allow one reschedule without additional tuition charges. We reserve the right to charge a rescheduling fee at our discretion for additional reschedules.
Resort fees are subject to the cancellation and rescheduling policy of the applicable resort. Students are responsible for any resort related fees associated with rescheduling courses.
Our instructors and divemasters will do their very best to provide a positive learning environment, answer your questions completely, assist you with challenges, and ensure you meet all training requirements necessary for certification. However, PADI instructors are under no obligation to issue you a scuba certification and there is no guarantee that you will be certified. Training requirements are performance based and the instructor must be sure that you have completed all training modules according to PADI standards, are comfortable in the water and can perform all diving skills repeatedly, with confidence, and without assistance (except for skills where assistance from a dive buddy is allowed or required).
Should you not be able to meet the course performance requirements in the scheduled time frame, we will continue to work with you to achieve your scuba certification. Our goal is your safety, total satisfaction, and the desire to make you a lifelong diver! If additional sessions are required in order for you to meet performance stands required for certification you will be responsible for any additional resort or material charges. Additional tuition will not be charged.
It is the student’s responsibility to treat all rental gear with care. Students will be charged current replacement value for the loss or breakage of any and all equipment. Certification cards can be withheld until payment for lost or damaged equipment is paid.

We’re confident that you will find your dive training both fun and rewarding. To learn and practice important concepts and skills for using life-support equipment underwater, you must invest the time needed to do it. This learning agreement is between you (the student diver) and our instructional staff regarding our mutual responsibilities in this program.
You agree to study independently as specified by the instructor. In general, this means that before each practical session, you will:
- Complete the assigned knowledge development portion of the course, including:
- Read/watch the assigned PADI Open Water Touch, PADI Open Water Online or PADI Open Water Diver Manual section(s) and complete the Quick Quiz questions.
- Complete the assigned Knowledge Review(s).
- Complete the Final Exam (as assigned).
In addition, you agree to:
- Follow all course procedures as set forth by my instructor.
- Ask questions about anything not understood.
- Be on time and be prepared for each practical session.
If you do not follow the points above, you understand that you may need to reschedule practical sessions, and that you responsible for any additional costs related to this. In scheduling and determining additional costs, Vitamin Sea Diving agrees to give every reasonable consideration to unforeseen events, such as family emergencies.
The course instructor and staff agree to:
- Start the class as scheduled.
- Provide a positive learning environment.
- Answer your questions to the best of our ability.
- Assist you through any course challenges.
- Provide opportunities for as many knowledge development, confined water dives and open water dives as necessary for you to comfortably master course-performance objectives. The course fee is based on an average, and includes all knowledge development assessments, and required number of confined and open water dives as prescribed in the course standards.
- Because people learn skills at different rates, the course is student-centered and performance-based, not time-based. Additional sessions may be needed for you to comfortably meet course objectives for certification. Course fees and additional session fees are as listed on the fee schedule.
